Jones in attacco e Rinaldi forte in difesa riportano la luce all’UBI Banca Sport Center, e la squadra esegue una rimonta da manuale. Dall’altra parte la panchina è lunga, e coach Martino non si risparmia con le ampie rotazioni. Forse senza Dillard, volato in America per motivi familiari, la Fortitudo Bologna pensava di avere vita facile, ma così non è: il primo quarto si chiude sul 21/27.

Trans agonistica per Jones che fa il bello e il brutto tempo (saranno 21 per lui le realizzazioni nei primi venti minuti). Fallo tecnico alla panchina di Bologna sul 31/40, e la curva va in escandescenza. Con Jones al libero (1/1) e Totè in schiacciata (34/40), Jesi rimane in partita, ma ci pensa Hasbrouck da tre a far pendere la bilancia per la Fortitudo. Nonostante la buona performance, forse alla Termoforgia si può imputare l’errore di chiudere troppo su Hasbrouck, lasciando scoperti altri giocatori, come Leunen o Benevelli. La prima metà di gara si chiude sul 41/47.

Di ritorno dagli spogliatoi le deblacle difensive di Jesi in difesa si fanno preoccupanti, tanto da lasciare dei vuoti incolmabili anche sotto canestro: sul 45/59 urge il minuto di sospensione di coach Cagnazzo. La panchina bolognese è lunga, e meglio farebbe Martino a cambiare Cinciarini, che ha una valutazione LNP negativa e dopo il terzo fallo commesso ha anche rischiato di vedersi fischiare quello tecnico. Il terzo quarto si chiude su un brutto ma non irreparabile -15 per Jesi (53/68).

La tripla di Benevelli è mortale sul 59/81, frutto di una maggior ossigenazione e quindi lucidità da parte di una squadra che affronta Jesi ormai privata di Jones, che ha accusato un problema al quadricipite. Agli arancioblu va il merito, nonostante l’evidente divario del tabellone e le oggettive difficoltà tecniche, di non aver mai mollato la presa, come hanno dimostrato anche gli under e le seconde fila del roster. Il match si chiude sul 66/87. Prossimo appuntamento jesino: in trasferta a Roseto il 4 novembre.
